Privacy Policy

Locusify follows data-minimization principles. Photo EXIF parsing, GPS coordinates, route calculation, and map rendering happen locally on your device. Original photos are not uploaded to a Locusify photo-processing server.

The website uses Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate, cookieless traffic metrics and Google Analytics 4 to understand page views, referrers, device categories, and approximate country or region. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies. Hosting and security providers may temporarily process standard request logs such as IP address, user agent, request time, and path.

When you use the interactive app and create an account, we process your email address and authentication information. Photos and their location data remain on your device and are used locally for maps and route replay.

Account information is used to perform the service contract and protect account security. Aggregate analytics and necessary logs support website operation, security, and product improvement under our legitimate interests. We do not sell personal information or use photo or location data for advertising profiles.

Vercel provides website hosting, while Vercel Web Analytics and Google Analytics provide analytics services; these providers process data only as needed to provide their services. Google Analytics data is handled according to Google’s terms and retention settings. Account data is retained until account deletion or the service is discontinued; security logs follow the provider’s limited retention schedule; analytics are not used by Locusify to identify individuals.

You may request access, correction, or deletion of account-related data. You may also send a Global Privacy Control signal through your browser to express an opt-out from sale or sharing. Locusify does not sell personal data and will not reduce service because of that choice.

External destinations such as GitHub and Buy Me a Coffee open only after you choose to follow a link. Their own privacy policies govern their processing. This site’s Referrer-Policy limits the source information sent across origins.
